The ship automated cabin assignment functionality allows the user to automatically assign cabins to reservations. This assignment is based on an internally defined setup within Seaware and by user definable criteria.

The process starts with a random selection of cabins for all reservations that have to be assigned within the defined criteria (ship / sail). The function then is used to calculate the number (let’s call it Score) that is going to be measured as criteria for the optimal cabin distribution. The optimal distribution means that maximum number of allocations received acceptable cabins and no erroneous matches have been left. There would be as many runs of this internal cabin matching process as needed before the function reaches a Score with minimal variation between runs.

In the Cabin Request Fulfillment Rules user can define the criteria by which cabins are going to be assigned, such as, Togetherness (Travel With), Occupancy, Same FIT (multiple cabin reservation), etc.
